CVK Maden İşletmeleri San. and Tic. Inc. Bayındır Lead-Zinc Plant is located approximately 4.5 km north of Sarıyurt village in Bayındır district of İzmir province. There are underground mines and administrative buildings in the licensed area with an area of 941.20 hectares. After the drilling and reserve determination studies were completed in the field taken over in 2017, official obligations were fulfilled and run-of-mine ore production started in 2019. The run-of-mine ore produced in underground mines is transported to the flotation facility in the Çanakkale-Yenice-Kalkım region, where it is processed and turned into lead and zinc concentrate, and a significant part of it is exported.
